The North Midlands RegionEducation Centre is located in Ballinafad village which is close to Boyle, just off the N4. The centre has a fully equipped, purpose built nature study classroom. There are a range of habitat study areas located on site including a pond and stream dipping area, a tree trail, a bird watching hide, a LINNET (tillage crop for wildlife) plot and a sensory garden. The centre is wheelchair accessible. A large car park area to the front of the building is suitable for coaches.
