- to the care and conservation of our natural environment.

 

All of our activities are structured so that participants of all ages can go through part, or all stages, of the following conservation education process:

1. Develop awareness of the beauty and value of the natural environment.

2. Acquire knowledge and skills that will assist participants to gain a greater appreciation of the flora, fauna and the ecosysyems in which they exist.

3. Interact and investigate the elements of the natural world.

4. Develop a real understanding and appreciation of the elements and the interelationships between each of the elements of the natural environment (including an understanding by each participant of the impact of their own relationship on that environment).

5. Adopt positive attitudes and behaviours in relation to the natural environment.

6. Actively participate in the care and conservation of the natural environment as informed and motivated citizens.

The North Midlands Education Centre is a recognised Discover Primary Science Centre.
